NaOH - KOH
Essential Depot is the FIRST, as well as the ONLY, SELLER whose PACKAGING, LABELING, and PRODUCT has been APPROVED by the U.S. government. Each complies: the labeling complies with all federal regulations, our containers (including the caps) comply with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements, and the product itself actually exceeded the government's third party independent laboratory testing standards.Previously offered only in 2 lb CPSC approved packaging and labeling (to wit: the plastic container, the cap, the labeling, the poly bag, and the box). Larger orders shipped in multiples of the container. However, this chemical is regulated for transportation and the transportation rules have changed. Now, Essential Depot is proud to ship in 1 lb as well as 2 lb containers permitting shipments to not only the 48 contiguous states but also Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Essential Depot is able to do this via a Special Permit for transportation which has been been approved and accepted by various carriers and agencies.
2 lb container: ships via a ground service only to the 48 contiguous states.
1 lb container: ships via air service within the 48 contiguous states as well as Hawaii and Alaska (with the exception of: Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan) but also via ground service.
The approved plastic container is made from durable HDPE with a plastic child resistant twist-off resealable cap. The 1 lb and 2 lb plastic containers are virtually identical except for size.   In fact, even the same cap is used for both. The benefit of this plastic container is that you may maintain the product in a place you otherwise may not (like your garage), because the resealable container inhibits the entry of moisture, so that your product stays dry and loose.
Essential Depot anticipates Sodium Hydroxide and Potassium Hydroxide to also be shipped in its new exclusive and revolutionary GLC Pail in a larger quantity.
PLEASE NOTE:-
Each batch of a hydroxide can vary slightly. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you test on a small batch using the hydroxide from each different batch number prior to any large batch making. Prior to contacting Essential Depot about a bad batch of soap made using Essential Depot's hydroxide, please review the below. With much input from our most experienced soapmakers, Essential Depot has been able to identify the many possible causes of the rare bad batch of soap.
